There are several stereotypes out there about the Saucony Ride 18s, like them having a stiffer feel and being more durable than other shoes. What is true about them (at least in my case)?

The Feel:
Overall, for me, these have been very comfortable. I haven't noticed the very stiff, rigidness that other users have mentioned. However, I did come off two pairs of Nike Pegasus 40s, which I alternated and brought up to around 715 miles. Those are not known for having a lot of cushion underfoot but after reading a ton of people saying this shoe would be very stiff, I was very surprised when the shoe was actually pretty cushioned. One of the best parts of these shoes is how putting on the shoe feels. As you put your foot in, it feels like you are slipping your foot into a cloud; the tongue is perfectly padded and hugs your foot in such a great way and the sole secures your feet.
Speed:
These are marketed as more of a daily trainer, and that's not without backing. This shoe would not be the greatest to use for faster workouts, and even doing mid-run strides on my longer runs, you can feel how they are lacking in the speed category, even compared to the Pegasus's.
Worth It:
If you're getting these as a daily / slower run trainer, these are perfect. They have enough support and comfort for long runs and enough speed for some quicker runs / strides. Transferring from the Pegasus to these has been very easy and for somebody with a neutral foot like me these are amazing.
